Quiet on the Set! Film Festival– It’s a Wrap for 2022

Welcome Remarks

Quiet on the Set! was a roaring success on the afternoon of June 4th at Cinemapolis, with an enthusiastic audience cheering on the fourteen wonderful films by thirteen to eighteen year-olds from throughout the Southern Tier.

Thank you to festival Presenting Sponsor, the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, for its generous support!

Here are the winners:

1st Prize -- "You've Done It This Time" by Marcella W. from Tompkins County. At age thirteen, Marcella is our youngest entrant ever!
2nd Prize -- "The Background Music" by Evan K. J. from Ithaca High School.
3rd Prize -- "Writer's Block" by Robin A. A. from Ithaca High School.

The two Honorable Mentions went to:
"Crummy Crime" by Cole R., Gabriel D., Liane J. and Leyna S. from TST BOCES
and
"The Thing" by Julian R. from Ithaca High School.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all the filmmakers who submitted a film!

A big thank you to our stellar Jury Panel: Chris Xaver from the Media Studies program at Tompkins County Community College; Steve Gordon from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College; Becky Burditt from the Media Department at Hobart William Smith, Beth Milles from Cornell University's Theater Department, and Kofi Acree from the Africana Library at Cornell University.
