In 2012, Mayor Myrick proclaimed October as Silent Movie Month in Ithaca to highlight the region’s role in early American moviemaking. Join the celebration this year — its 10th — with virtual and in-person events, and WSM’s ongoing multimedia exhibit at the Tompkins Center for History & Culture. In this unusual year, we're expanding Silent Movie Month into November!
Our first event of Silent Movie Month 2021 is Thursday, October 14th.
More details about other Silent Movie Month events coming soon, so check the website often for updates.
