October is Silent Movie Month in Ithaca and 2019 marks its 8th year!

Join us all month-long, as Wharton Studio Museum, in collaboration with Cinemapolis, The Cherry Arts, Cornell Cinema, Historic Ithaca and other wonderful entities, celebrates silent film and Ithaca’s role in early movie making history. Here’s this year’s  Calendar of Events for Silent Movie Month:

The Missing Chapter, the award-winning headphone walking-play produced by The Cherry and Wharton Studio Museum comes back to Stewart Park.

Speakeasy event to benefit Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL)

Featuring a screening of popular serials from the Wharton Studio era.

Screening of Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy Blaché 
A critically-acclaimed documentary about the pioneering late 19th/early 20th century film director and producer Alice Guy Blaché.
A talkback via Skype with the film’s director Pamela Green will take place after the film.
