Patrick Conway & his Famous Ithaca Band – Wednesday, October 27, 7-8:30 pm

Patrick Conway

Wednesday, October 27th, 7-8:30pm
Patrick Conway & his Famous Ithaca Band
A virtual presentation by local historian and Visiting Lecturer at Cornell who, since 2011, has taught a class about Cornell history.
Presented by Friends of Stewart Park as part of its Stewart Park Centennial Zoom Series.

Join local historian Corey Ryan Earle, as he introduces us to Patrick “Patsy” Conway who in the early part of the 20th century toured the country and the world with his Ithaca Band. They may have traveled the globe, but one of their favorite venues was the lovely bandshell in Stewart Park, located right by what became the home of the Wharton, Inc., Studios. Discover Ithaca's very own "Music Man" and his impact locally and nationally during the Golden Age of Bands.

This presentation is brought to you in partnership with Wharton Studio Museum celebrating its 10th year of Silent Movie Month.
